To help citizens move around more easily, every country needs to have a good

public transportation system. To get to other countries easily, some countries have
spent enormous amounts of welfare on sophisticated railway tracks, while others
just want to upgrade their public transportation. In my opinion, it depends on how
much money a country has and if they need this new and improved way of
transportation.
Generally, to establish sophisticated high-speed railway tracks, people have to
spend a lot of money. Developed countries like Russia have high-speed rail, which
is emerging in their own country as an increasingly popular means of transport and
is twice as fast as driving between Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Poor countries
are also planning to do the same thing. For example, in India, where the roads are
always crowded with lots of traffic, the government wants to build a fast train
system that can connect important places.
Nonetheless, developing countries have a good chance of completing this large
project despite their poor financial situation. Namely, because they have a dense
population, they cannot have enough space, and it is very hard to procure land for
fixing new railway tracks. For instance, India wants to build a fast train, but it will
be difficult in crowded cities like Chennai and Bangalore because residents will
have to move. Additionally, improving waterways is less expensive and more
effective in certain states. This can be done without forcing people to leave their
homes, although it may take more time than other methods.
In summary, the costs and the need for better transportation are the reasons why
countries decide to create new traffic systems. It is a good idea for low-income
countries to continue improving their transportation systems.
