Brisbane’s Eagle Street Pier precint set for multi-billion dollar makeover
Brisbane’s Eagle Street Pier precint is set to undergo $2.1 billions dollar makeover after
Councul approved development plans from the Dexus group.
The waterfront Brisbane project will include two commercial towers, with hanging gardens,
as well as new bars, eateries, and shopping districts.
The development will also incorporate about 9000 square metres of public space, along with a
wider resurfaced river walk.
Project Direktor, Matt Beasley said the development would “supercharge” the area and ensure
it maintains its reputation as the city’s bussines hub.

It’s been a busy holiday season for everyone. And the workers at the Canada Border Servis
Agency are no exception.
While the number of people traveling is down, the amount of cargo being shipped is going up.
“We’re seeing an increase of 30 percent since the pandemic,” said Lisa White, director of the
central Alberta district for the CBSA.
“Now that we’re in the holiday season, which is our busiest time of year, our volumes are
event higher than they were this time last year”
FedEx Canada has noticed a similar trend.
“We expect the world’s shipping needs to surge throughout the holidays, on top of the peak
levels od demand we’ve already experienced during COVID-19,” Communications advisor, James
Anderson said.
He said FedEx is ready to handle the increased volume from the record e-commerse sales this
holiday season.
