Subject: URGENT Budget Approval request for updated Tablet program

Dear Deanna,

Good morning. In an effort to continue to achieve our goals to innovate to ensure and give our
guests a better dining experience and keep our operating expenses below 65% with a profit
margin of 8%, we have a new program related to our tablet subscription that will need your
approval to move forward.

Our current Tablet program was quoted at an $8000 subscription fee, but that option is no
longer available through the designated vendor. According to Seydou, Terrific Tablets is now
going forward as a subscription-based service, which includes hardware, software, support,
customization, POS integration, and more as part of a monthly flat rate. I think it’s a much
better service for us, but it does change the price point.

Now, instead of $200 per tablet for the 40 tablets we need, the subscription that matches our
needs would be $300 a month and would cover all 40 tablets, the software, 24/7 support,
customization—everything.

So instead of $8000 for using all the tablets in the first year, it will cost us only $3,600,
including support. But, that $3,600 will need to be paid every year going forward.

The new program provides costs saving and additional benefits that continue to meet the
objectives of the program. Please review the information, present any questions you may have,
send me your approval to secure the contract terms, and we appreciate your timely support that
allows us to continue moving forward with the project.
