Exercises from Jehle and Reny (3rd ed)

The lists below indicate exercises from the book that students should solve, a selection of which may appear
on the exam. Some are quick and simple, others are longer and more difficult. You can work together on the
exercises, if you wish, but each student, or pair of students, must hand in a version of the Problem Set to be
graded.

Exercises for the Problem Set are marked with *; these must be handed in, in class or by email. Late
submissions will have a 1 (out of 20) penalty for each day of delay.
We will go through as many of the other exercises in class as possible. The more students come prepared to
class, the better we can work. Student presentation of their solutions contributes to participation grades.
