When upgrading to Exgine version 4.00, the full Exgine image cannot be programmed in one step
using In-System-Programming (ISP). Please follow the instructions below:
2. Using an Internet Browser, Chrome is recommended, first navigate to the Exporter Link
(default is 10.10.10.11). Ethernet 3 may also be used. Do not use Ethernet 1 or 2.
3. The single GUI page should show the currently installed version of Exgine software.
5. Click SUBMIT and wait for the response from the browser.
7. After the message “Rebooting” appears, wait for Exgine to get going again. If needed close
and restart the browser and reboot the exciter. Return to the Exporter Link ISP page and
browse to the file exgine_400.s19.
8. Click SUBMIT and wait for the response from the internet browser.
10. Once the message “Rebooting” appears again, the upgrade should be complete.
11. Verify the installed version is showing 4.00. You can look on the browser or the touch
screen of the exciter.
12. If at any time the browser cannot connect to the Exgine and the Exgine uP shows NA on the
exciter touch screen SW Rev the software has stopped running on the Exgine. If a reboot of
the exciter does not get it going again then the exciter will need to be sent to the Factory for
repair. You can make contact by sending email to repair@gatesiar.com.
Note: The Main uP software needs to be of similar era to the software running on the Exgine. Main
uP 8.00 is appropriate for working with Exgine 4.00.
