RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR IN

BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF CARMEN, THIS
PROVINCE, TO SIGN PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE
PROCUREMENT OF MATERIALS FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION OF
MUNICIPAL HALL PARK, THIS MUNICIPALITY

WHEREAS, forwarded to this Sangguniang Bayan of Carmen this province, for

appropriate legislative action was Letter dated November 19, 2021 from BAC Chairman
and noted by Mayor Jovitte C. Calo, requesting for a resolution authorizing the
municipal mayor in behalf of the Municipal Government of Carmen, this province, to
sign the Purchase Order for the procurement of materials for the beautification of
Municipal Hall Park, this municipality;

WHEREAS, the approved budget for the procurement of materials for the said
beautification was taken from 20% MDF in the total amount of Five Hundred Thousand
Pesos only (₱500,000.00);

WHEREAS, the authority given to the mayor to sign the Purchase Order for the
procurement of materials for the said completion is in line with Section 444 (vi) of the
Local Government Code of 1991, which states that “Upon authorization by the
sangguniang bayan, represent the municipality in all its business transactions and sign
on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations, and such other documents made
pursuant to law or ordinance.

NOW, THEREFORE, upon motion of Hon. Rodel O. Pacon and duly seconded
by the Hon. Corazon T. Alpuerto, Hon. Julius S. Tamayo , Hon. Gilda A. Samaco, Hon.
Romel Jhun C. Ledesma, Hon. Eva D. Palarca, Hon. Abraham R. Dela Cruz, Jr., Hon.
Richard O. Palang-at and Hon. Ann Marjorie M. Betio, be it –

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVES, by the Sangguniang Bayan of

Carmen, Agusan del Norte in session duly assembled to AUTHORIZE THE
MUNICIPAL MAYOR IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF CARMEN,
THIS PROVINCE, TO SIGN PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE PROCUREMENT OF
MATERIALS FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION OF MUNICIPAL HALL PARK,
POBLACION, THIS MUNICIPALITY.

RESOLVED FURTHER: to transmit a copy of this resolution to HONORABLE

JOVITTE C. CALO, Municipal Mayor for her information and appropriate action.

RESOLVED FINALLY: to furnish copies of this resolution to MRS. MARIA

CECILLE J. MADERA, MENRO/BAC Chairman and to offices concerned, this
municipality.
