Acts 19:6-10

MENTORING TUESDAY
 6 When Paul placed his hands
on them, the Holy Spirit came
on them, and they spoke in
tongues[a] and prophesied.
 7 There were about twelve men
in all.
 8 Paul entered the
synagogue and spoke boldly
there for three months,
arguing persuasively about
the kingdom of God.
 9 But some of them became
obstinate; they refused to
believe and publicly maligned
the Way. So Paul left them.
He took the disciples with him
and had discussions daily in
the lecture hall of Tyrannus.
 10 This went on for two
years, so that all the Jews
and Greeks who lived in
the province of
Asia heard the word of
the Lord.

 Do you not know that in a race all the

prize? Run in such a way as to get the
prize.
 25 Everyone who competes in the games
goes into strict training. They do it to get a
crown that will not last, but we do it to get
a crown that will last forever.
Eph.4:11-12
 11 So Christ himself gave the
apostles, the prophets, the
evangelists, the pastors and teachers,
 12 to equip his people for works of
service, so that the body of Christ may
be built up

 v.12 to equip his people means to
develop, to mature, to improve
Why Strict training is important?
 1. Training should start early/
immediately
 Prov.22:6
 Start children off on the way they
should go,
and even when they are old they
will not turn from it.

 A. Manhood - formation of your character
 B. Priesthood - we know how to stand the
gap
 C. Servanthood- they a servant heart
 D. Fatherhood- multiplication factor of
training
Why Strict training is important?
 4. Strict to get the best result
 Standard, require, demand
1Cor.9:26-27
 26 Therefore I do not run like someone
running aimlessly; I do not fight like a
boxer beating the air.
 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make
it my slave so that after I have preached to
others, I myself will not be disqualified for
the prize.
