Objective: By the end of the lesson, A2 level students will be able to:
Materials:
Warm-up (10 minutes): Begin the lesson by asking students if they have ever
celebrated Easter, what they know about it, and how they usually celebrate it in
their country. Share some basic information about the history of Easter and its
significance in Christianity.
Activity 1: (20 minutes) Show pictures and videos related to Easter celebrations
around the world. Ask students to identify the common traditions and customs
they see, such as egg painting, Easter baskets, or Easter parades. Discuss the
significance of these traditions and customs.
Activity 3: (20 minutes) Read an Easter story or book to the class. After reading,
ask students to write a short paragraph about what they learned from the story.
Discuss the story and how it relates to Easter traditions and customs.
Activity 4: (20 minutes) Ask students to work in pairs or small groups to create
an Easter card. Provide materials such as construction paper, markers, and
stickers. Encourage students to use the vocabulary words they learned in the
worksheet and to include a message about what Easter means to them.
Wrap-up: (10 minutes) Lead a class discussion about what students learned in
the lesson, what surprised them the most, and what they would like to learn
more about. Encourage students to share their own personal experiences with
Easter celebrations and traditions.
Homework: For homework, students will create an Easter basket. They can
include decorations, such as Easter eggs, bunny figurines, or chocolates. They
can also write a short paragraph about why Easter is important to them.
