Learning Task 4.1.a – Freud’s Psychoanalytic Theory

Instruction: Kindly answer the following questions in at most 5 sentences.

1. Recall a recent incident in your life when you had to make a decision. Narrate
the situation below. Indicate what the decision was about, the factors that
were involved and how you arrived at your decision.

The recent incident in my life when I need to make a decision is about buying a new
laptop for my online class. I am using my old laptop since I was in high school, and it
is starting to break down and having lines on the screen, showing that it will break
anytime soon. My decision is between buying a new one and sticking with the old
one since I can still make use of it. The factors involved in my choice are my online
classes and our financial capability. I arrived with the decision of not buying a new
laptop in the meantime since I can still use the old one, not until we are financially
stable.

2. What factors influenced you in making your decision? Which of the following
did you consider most in making your decision? What will make you feel
satisfied, what is most beneficial or practical, or what you believed was the
most moral thing to do? Elaborate on your answer.

The factors that greatly influenced me in making my decision are my online class
and our financial capability, and I considered our financial situation the most. I will be
satisfied if my family will not struggle, and it is the most practical decision not to buy
anything until financially stable. When struggling financially, the most moral thing to
do is considering other significant things for the family. I can still use my old laptop,
and we can buy a new one when my family can provide it without struggling. Thus, it
is significant to think about everyone than thinking just about yourself because, in
everything, the right time will come.
