Learning Task 4.2
Learning Task 4.2
As I have read the Republic Act 7836 or also known as the Philippine Teachers
Professionalization Act of 1994, I have gained an understanding of this act. RA 7836 is an act to
strengthen the regulation and supervision of the practice of teaching in the Philippines and
prescribing a licensure examination for teachers and other purposes. They granted this act in
honor of teachers' contributions to nation-building and development through a responsible and
literate citizen. RA 7836 focuses on promoting quality education through the licensure
examination and professionalization of the practice of the teaching profession.
Republic Act 7836 is an act that will help and assist our education system in the
Philippines. As a future educator, I have to agree with this act. It will aid to have functional
education, promote adequate teachers, and produce effective learning. When it comes to the
professionalization of teaching, it is very significant because it is the process of acquiring the
skills, identities, norms, and values necessary to join the professional group. Being a
professional, you need to act accurately and avoid any issues that might ruin your profession.
Upon taking the Licensure Examination for Teachers or the LET, it is equitable to take this
process, as it will assess if you are best to this profession. Moreover, this license is a very
significant demand for the teaching profession. Concerning the causes of revocation of
teacher's licenses/certificates, it is one that we should consider to know as a future teacher. Our
teachers should always put in their minds that there are punishments and consequences for our
poor actions and judgment. Educators should act rightfully and reasonably, especially for their
students.
