KB11224 - What Do The Different Junos File System Device (Storage Media) Names Mean - Juniper Networks
- Juniper Networks
SUMMARY:
'show system storage' and 'show chassis hardware detail' outputs have diverse file system
device names such as ad0, ad1, ad2, ad3, da0, and so on . The information below explains what
these file system device names mean.
SYMPTOMS:
CAUSE:
SOLUTION:
Juniper products operated by Junos, such as M / T / J-series routers, MX-series, and EX
switches have different types of physical storage devices. This results in different file system
device names when issuing the show system storage CLI command. Below are examples.
