In maths, Stage Three has continued to build their gymnasiums and have been further
investigating possibilities by applying concepts of volume and capacity and 3D
objects. Students have been learning about the difference between volume and capacity and how to use formulas to work out the volume of different 3D objects. Through playing barrier games, students were able to successfully identify and label characteristics of different cuboids. Students have also enjoyed experimenting with different nets and making connections with 3D shapes in the real world. In preparation for class speeches, Stage 3 have been practicing different techniques in standing, breathing and reading to assist with our manner, matter and method. Students are very excited to be presenting their class speeches in week 7.
