In order to provide efficient medical services to the stakeholders, following procedural improvements have been introduced with immediate effect Reference letter for hospitalization shall be signed by two designated officers mentioning their names and contact details including mobile numbers and email addresses. Reimbursement of medical bills on account of prolong ailment and hospitalization (in case of non-panel hospital) shall be claimed within a period of two months from the date of incurring of expense or date of bill, whichever is earlier, Any claim raised after this period shall not be entertained. In case of prolong ailment, the claim for reimbursement of amount incurred on purchase of medicines shall be supported by computerized bill/ invoice issued by a medical store during its normal course of business mentioning contact details for verification, if required. The submission of computerized bill is mandatory for big cities that include Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Quetta. For other cities where computerfzed bills are not available, handwritten bill/ invoice will also be accepted after getting approval of concerned Regional Medical Committee/ Regional Head after every six months. 2.
