    PRESS RELEASE

    FATAL ACCIDENT
    SH23-06417

    ON Wednesday 11 October 2023, deputies from the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office
    responded to a report of a pedestrian struck in front of 11625 W Grand River Avenue in
    Boston Township east of Montcalm Road.

    Preliminary investigation shows that a resident of the Hope Network facility at that
    location was struck by a west bound vehicle and trailer.
    The decedent, a 42 year old male originally from Twin Lake, Michigan, was killed
    instantly in the crash .

    The crash remains under investigation at this time.

    Assisting on the scene was the Saranac Fire Department, Life Ambulance, Reed &
    Hoppes Towing and Ionia County Central Dispatch.
