Simon Diaz, also known as "El Tío Simón," was a legendary Venezuelan singer,
songwriter, and composer. He was born in a small town in Venezuela on August 8,
1928, and lived until 2014.

The music of Tio Simon continue inspiring and captivating people even after his
death. When I was a child, I remember to hear my mom and dad listening his songs
with his unique voice and the beautiful melodies. As I got older, I started to appreciate
the depth of his lyrics, which often spoke of the countryside of Venezuela, love,
nature, and the daily struggles of ordinary people.
He was able to capture the essence of his culture and translate it into his music,
making him a source of pride and inspiration for me and many others venezuelans.
What truly inspires me about Simon Diaz is his passion and dedication to his craft,
He showed me that with hard work, determination, and a love for what you do,
anything is possible.
