QUITE TIME

I. a) Find a place where you can be alone, free from
distractions.
b) Take your Bible, a pen and a note book to record
prayers and revelation truths from God.
c) Don’t allow intruding thoughts to disrupt your prayer
time.
d) Include a chorus book, recorded music for singing
praises unto the Lord.
e) Go to God’s presence with a spirit of expectancy.
II. Ask God to Search your heart (Psalms 139: 23-24)
A) Confess any sin the Holy Spirit reveals.
(Psalms 66: 18; 1 John 1: 9)
B) Be certain you are walking and praying in the spirit
(Ephesians 5: 15,18,20)
C) Wait before the Lord. Listening to God is as important
as speaking to God –
Allow an unhurried time before God to listen with your
heart and mind – adapting them as worship, praise or
request.
1) Read passages of scriptures, and pray them back to
God
2) Question to help you in your Bible Reading:
(i) Is there any sin to forsake?
(ii) Is there any promise to claim?
(iii) Is there any example to follow?
(iv) Is there any warning to take heed?
(v) Is there any truth about God I need to know?
(vi) Application..

A. WORSHIP GOD FOR WHO HE IS - Psalms 103,

B. WORSHIP HIM FOR HIS ATTRIBUTES - Psalms 145

C. Rejoice in your Fellowship with Him, just as He delights
in you - Proverbs 15: 8b
D. Allow unhindered time for God to speak to your heart.
III. DEVELOP A PRAYER REQUEST LIST:
A. Make a List of your prayer request and keep your prayer
specific so that you may recognize specific answers as
they come.
B. Daily prayer concerns- include the following:
a) Development – spiritual growth
b) Personal concerns and circumstances
c) Areas of personal influence.
d) Family members (their personal desires, development,
concerns and personal circumstances)
e) Cell Members and Christian friends.
f) Non-believers.
g) Those who are discouraged.
h) Those in authority over you.
i) Missionaries and Missionary Outreach.
j) Labourers for the Harvest Field of the World.
k) Moral and Spiritual awakening.
l) Revival.
C. List the date, request, applicable Scriptures, actions to
be taken, results and date answered, as a record of
God’s guidance and faithfulness.
