Control is an action made to certify that activities performed match to the desired activities or goals that
have been set. Feedback is process which requires checking at each stage of the process to assure that
the alternatives generated, the criteria used in evaluation, and the solution selected for implementation
are in keeping with the goals and objectives originally specified. The importance of control is to have a
better communication between you and your people and also it helps in comparing the actual
performance with the predetermined standards. The position of feedback is to optimize performance
and to have a great view on improving the alternatives that has been generated.

The relevance or significance of the decision-making process in managing engineering firms is to have an
idea on how to generate all possible solutions if you encounter a delinquent situation. Also, the
decision-making process rest in the way it supports you in choosing between several option.

decision? Explain your answer.
When a problem becomes apparent and a manager chooses to ignore it, he is not making a decision
because, it is clearly stated that in making a decision you must identify the problem and generate a
better solution, it is easier for him to provide an alternative because the problem is already obvious.
4. Why is proper diagnosis of the problem important?
Proper diagnosis of the problem is important because, it is your guide to produce an alternative in line
with that problem and also, it is easier for you to conduct a solution if you clearly understand the
problem.
