Task on the student workbook (AS91877)

MOTHERBOARD TASK

Cheap AM5 motherboards are a good option for budget-minded builders who don't need all the bells
and whistles. They typically have all the basic features you need to build a working computer, but
may have lower-quality components and fewer features than more expensive motherboards.

Expensive AM5 motherboards are a good option for builders who want the best possible
performance and features. They typically have higher-quality components, more expansion slots,
more RAM slots, more USB ports, and more advanced overclocking options. They may also offer
better support for high-end CPUs and other components.

If the user are building a budget PC, a cheap B650 motherboard may be a good option. However, if
the user are building a high-end PC or if you plan on overclocking your components, the user may
want to invest in a more expensive X670 motherboard.

CPU Cooler task:

Water-cooled PCs are quieter and more efficient than direct fan methods, but they are also more
expensive and difficult to install. Direct fan methods are less expensive and easier to install, but they
are noisier and less efficient.

If user are looking for the quietest and most efficient cooling method, then water cooling is the way
to go. However, if user are on a budget or user are not comfortable installing a water-cooling system,
then direct fan cooling is a good option.

RAM task:

Example of the different of RAM is the G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 gaming
RAM kit and the Team Group T-Force Xtreem ARGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 non-gaming
RAM kit. Again, both kits have the same speed, capacity, and timings, but the G.Skill kit is more
expensive due to its RGB lighting and more aggressive heatspreader design.

Case Task:

The Corsair 4000D Airflow Tempered Glass Mid Tower ATX Case is a great choice for a keen gamer for
the following reasons:

It has a lot of airflow, which is important for keeping your gaming components cool.

It has a lot of room for expansion, so you can add new components in the future, such as a more
powerful graphics card or more storage.

It has a red color scheme, which is perfect for gamers who like the color red.

It is compatible with all of the components that you mentioned, including an ATX motherboard, a
Blu-ray recorder, a 3.5” drive caddy, a huge graphics card, and four 2.5” SSD drives.

It is cost of NZD168.99

GPU task:

To use two graphics cards with 4 monitors each, you will need a motherboard with two PCIe x16 slots
and support for multi-GPU configurations, such as ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero or MSI MEG X670E
Ace. You will also need two graphics cards that are capable of being set up in pairs, such as NVIDIA
GeForce RTX 3090 or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT.

Once you have chosen a motherboard and two graphics cards, you can install them in your computer
and set them up in multi-GPU mode. The instructions for doing this will vary depending on the
motherboard and graphics cards that you are using.
Power Supply task:

The Corsair RMx Series RM750x 80+ Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply is a great choice for
building a quiet computer because it has a fan that only turns on when the load is high. It is also very
efficient and fully modular.

Platinum and Titanium power supplies are more efficient than gold power supplies, which means
they convert more of the power they draw from the wall into power that is used by your computer.
This can help to reduce your energy bill and keep your computer cooler. However, Platinum and
Titanium power supplies are also more expensive.

Whether or not you need a Platinum or Titanium power supply depends on your needs. If you are
building a high-end gaming PC or a PC that will be running 24/7, then a Platinum or Titanium power
supply may be a good investment. However, if you are building a budget PC or a PC that will only be
used occasionally, then a gold power supply may be sufficient.

Storage:

M.2 SSDs are the fastest type of storage device, followed by 2.5" SSDs, and then HDDs.

This is because M.2 SSDs use the PCIe interface, which is much faster than the SATA interface that is
used by HDDs and 2.5" SSDs.

M.2 SSDs offer a number of benefits over HDDs and 2.5" SSDs, including faster read and write
speeds, lower power consumption, and a smaller form factor. However, M.2 SSDs are also more
expensive.

Monitor Task:

The cheapest new 27-inch monitor is the Sceptre E275W-QPT for NZ$227.10. It is a 1080p monitor
with a 60Hz refresh rate. The most expensive new 27-inch monitor is the Alienware AW2721D for
NZ$1428. It is a 1440p monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate.

The Alienware AW2721D is more expensive because it has a higher resolution, faster refresh rate,
faster response time, IPS panel type, G-Sync support, and HDR support.

Whether or not the difference in price is worth it depends on your needs. If you are looking for the
absolute best possible gaming experience, then the Alienware AW2721D is the way to go. However, if
you are on a budget or don't need all of the features of the Alienware AW2721D, then the Sceptre
E275W-QPT is a great option.

Personally, I don't think the difference in price is worth it for most people. The Sceptre E275W-QPT is
a great monitor for the price, and it will be more than enough for most people's needs. If you are a
serious gamer or need the best possible image quality, then the Alienware AW2721D is a great
option, but it is very expensive.
Accessory task:

The best keyboard and mouse for someone working on CAD for long days are those that are
ergonomic and comfortable to use.

Keyboard: Logitech MX Mechanical, Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard, Kinesis Advantage2

Mouse: Logitech MX Master 3, 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Pro, Razer DeathAdder Pro V2

Software Task:

Two of the best free alternatives to Photoshop are GIMP and Photopea. I recommend GIMP over
Photopea because it is a more powerful tool with a wider range of features, is more customizable,
and has a larger community of users and developers. However, Photopea is a good option for users
who need a free online image editor that is easy to use.

Outcome task:

Problem: Jayne, a freelance animator, needs a new computer to support her work.

Issue: Jayne needs a computer with sufficient specifications to handle the CPU and GPU intensive
processing needed to render animations. She also needs a computer that is easy to use for designing
animations.

Scope: This project will focus on finding a computer that meets Jayne's specific needs.

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to help Jayne find a computer that will allow her to do her
work efficiently and effectively.

Context: Jayne is a freelance animator who works with advertising companies and others. She needs
a computer that can handle the demanding tasks of animation, such as rendering and designing.

CPU: AMD Threadripper 3970X

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090

RAM: 64GB (4x16GB) DDR4-3600

Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD

Power supply: 850W 80+ Platinum certified

Cooling system: 360mm AIO liquid cooler

Case: Full tower case with good airflow

This build is expensive, but it will be able to handle even the most demanding rendering tasks. If you
are on a budget, you can save some money by choosing a less expensive CPU, GPU, or motherboard.
However, it is important to make sure that the components you choose are still powerful enough for
the type of rendering work you will be doing.
REQUIREMENTS TASK

The motherboard should be fitted with the CPU that the user was using, like it the user was using the
AM5, the motherboard should be fitted with AM5 not with Intel LGA 1500. The animator needs a
powerful CPU with the cooler, the motherboard that can support it, should be having enough RAM to
run that with the animator GPU. With the large amount of fast storage (M.2 SSD). With all of that I
must have the powerful power supply to support those different part of hardware. After that, there
must have the monitor, mice, and keyboard to access the computer. Therefore, the CPU I will
recommend was the most powerful CPU with 32 Cores / 64 Threads and the GPU was the newest
one with the RTX40 series, with 4 16GB RAM to run the software. And 1TB SSD of the storage, 850W
of the 80+ Platinum power, that it higher than the 80+ gold. With the more functions key mouse and
keyboard. And the OS system should be using the Windows 11 Pro which was providing more safely
things.

End user task:

Jayne, a freelance animator specializing in animations used in advertisements and movies, needs a
computer that can handle both producing and rendering animations. She will need a high-end CPU
with multiple cores and threads, a powerful GPU with a lot of memory, at least 32GB of RAM, a fast
SSD with a lot of storage space, and a powerful enough power supply to support all of the
components in the system. A good cooling system and a case with good airflow are also important to
prevent the components from overheating.

In short, Jayne needs a computer that is powerful enough to handle the most demanding animation
tasks. The computer should have a fast CPU, GPU, and RAM, as well as a lot of storage space. It is also
important to make sure the computer has a good cooling system and a case with good airflow.

Feedback task:

The feedback from my mother was it the CPU that must be using so expensive one or you can choose
a cheaper one, like the others also. If the user was only use that for working on animations only, the
case and the RAM can be without any RGB colour, because that will cost quite a bit $$$.
