forests and numerous skiing as well as hiking trails. Its strategic location in a
valley between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz offers the perfect opportunity for

excursions, thanks to the solid network of about 45 mountain railways, cable

1. Switzerland has 7000 lakes
With a surface size of 580.03 km2, Lake Geneva is Switzerland’s biggest lake.
Lac Léman is the name given to 40.47 percent of the lake that is shared with
France. Lake Neuchâtel, with a surface area of 218.3 km2, is the largest lake
wholly within Switzerland. You can drink from rivers and lakes since the
freshwater is so clear.
