How to make your own Eeprom Editor for

For some it has been a bit frustrating to program an Eeprom, there are many editors but
most of them you must take off the integrated one to read it, program it and then install it, I
think it is overwhelming and kind of boring. For this we will create an Eeprom Editor
which connects from the IO port of the Hashboard, read and program without having to
take off and place the integrated one again.

Step 1: Get this Items

Eeprom programmer Usb Ch341a Ch341.

You can find this Item in any virtual store, Amazon, Ebay, Aliexpress, ETC. The cost is
around 10$ - 20$ and it is an easy controller to use. In general, you do not need to install
drivers, but if your PC requires it, you just have to search on Internet for the CH341A
driver, download and install it.

Jumper Wire Kit.

Only need one Male side and we gonna use 8 Wires.

Step 2: Making the connection between Ch341a
programmer to the IO port
To make it more understandable I will make a diagram which can guide you from the PCB
to the IO Cable, you must take into account the correct numbering of the PIN-1 of the IO
Port since it will be your guide and thus not make mistakes when tying the cables. Follow
the number sequence on the PCB board from 1 to 8.

Once finished, you should have a result similar to this. Important! make sure to isolate the
cables of the IO port that we do not use to avoid any short cut.
Step 3: Configure CH341a Programmer
Connect the USB CH341 to your PC, so that it installs the necessary drivers so that it can
work correctly, if it does not work, you will have to download the drivers manually.

Download the software, I will leave the download link at the end of the article.

Then make sure to configure the CH341a programmer editor well since it has to program
many types of integrated and it is not capable of doing it automatically, if you get to read,
or edit with the wrong model you will corrupt all the memory, you will not damage the
Eeprom (yeah , I screwed it up once) but you will have to find another Eeprom that works
well and read the content to edit the one you messed up.

once the program is open let's configure it

 Type : 24 Eeprom
 Manu : ATMEL
 Name : AT24CO2
 Size : 256B

In the lower left corner, you will notice if USB CH341 is connected. Do a test without the
PCB-IO cable to make sure CH341 Programmer to check that the status of the device is
connected.

The Green square indicates that it is PIN-1, connect the PCB-IO
Final Step: Lets Tested
just need to connect CH341 USB to the pc and connect the PCB-IO to the Hashboard, hit
read and BOOM! the magic has happened!
