Manufacturer Part Number (MPN)

Use
If you wish to influence the precise source or quality of materials, you can tell the vendor
from whom you want to procure a material which manufacturer the material is to be supplied
by and the part number used by that manufacturer.

Prerequisites
If you wish to work with manufacturer part numbers, you must satisfy the following
prerequisites:

 Make the necessary Customizing settings

 Create material master records
 Define manufacturer part profile
 Create master records for manufacturers and manufacturer plants

Step 1: Make the necessary Customizing settings

Step 2: Define manufacturer part profile

IMGMaterials Management PurchasingMaterial Master

Step 3: Create TAQA Material Master

Assign Manufacture Part Profile created at step 2 to TAQA material master as shown below (
eg : Material : 100005695)
Step 4 : Create Material Master for MPN material of type HERS

So tht MPN material VP1056477 is link to TAQA material 100005695

MPN material PP1190292 is link to TAQA material 100005695

Step 5 : Create PO

Here MPN profile will be display in PO as shown below.

Note:

We have to maintain MPN profile to TAQA material master only if the given material has
more than one Manufacturer
Else we will maintain directly the MPN material number in material master.
