• The 2022 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup was the twelfth
edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup, which was
held in New Zealand in March and April 2022. In the final
of the tournament, Australia beat England by 71 runs to

object ever. The object named ‘HD1’ is a galaxy candidate 13.5 billion

light due to some energetic processes occurring in it. HD1 forms more
than 100 stars every single year, which is 10 times higher than that of
starburst galaxies

Thursday, 7th April 2022, from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the
north-western part of the country. Long March-4C rocket launched

Indonesia`s South Sumatra archipelago and the East of Borneo

• Ketanji Brown Jackson has been confirmed as the first African-American
woman to serve as a justice of the United States Supreme Court. On April
7, 2022, by a vote of 53-47, the U.S. Senate confirmed President Joe
Biden’s nomination of Judge Jackson to replace retiring Supreme Court
Justice Stephen Breyer, for whom she previously served as a law clerk.
Jackson will be sworn in after Breyer’s retirement takes effect at the end

• The United States has become the first country in the world to announce a
ban on missile tests against space satellites. US Vice-President Kamala
Harris, who chairs the National Space Council, announced that the debris
created by such tests presents a risk to the safety of astronauts and
satellites. Many countries including the U.S, China, Russia, and India have
carried out such tests and generated space debris.

• China said on April 19, 2022, it had signed a security pact with the
Solomon Islands, a move set to heighten the concerns of the United States
