4G Interview Question
Q1: - What is the Technology name of 4G.

Ans: - Technology name of 4G LTE, which mean long term evolution.

LTE (Long Term Evolution) is the project name given to development of a high-performance air interface for
cellular mobile communication systems. It is the last step toward the 4th generation (4G) of radio technologies
designed to increase the capacity and speed of mobile telephone networks.

Q2: - on the basis of Modulation scheme LTE divided into Two modulation Schemes which are?

Ans: -
1. FDD (Frequency Division Duplex)
2. TDD (Time Division Duplex)

FDD (frequency division duplex), where the uplink and downlink channel are separated in frequency, and TDD
(time division duplex), where uplink and downlink share the same frequency channel but are separated by time.

FDD is working at full duplex while TDD is working on Half duplex.

Q3:- what are the FDD bands STC mostly used.

Ans:- FDD

1. FDD 700 / L700 / LTE700 / 4G 700

2. FDD 1800 / L1800 / LTE 1800 / 4G 1800
3. FDD 2100 / L2100 / LTE 2100 / 4G 2100

FDD 700 EARFCN

 9310
 9454

FDD 1800 EARFCN

 1450
 1279

FDD 2100
 451
 500

Q4:-TDD
1. TDD 2300 / L2300 / LTE 2300 / 4G 2300

TDD 2300 had two carrier

 F2 39344
 F3 39146
 F4 38750

STC 2G 3G & 4G Bands Table

Q5:- What is CA and CC ?

Ans:- CA Mean Carrier Aggregation. And CC mean Carrier Component .

Types of CA
 2CA/2CC
 3CA/3CC
 4CA/4CC
 5CA/5CC ( under trail not intergraded on all sites)
2CC
 In 2CC, two different frequencies/bands are used at time.
• One will be primary (Pcell) while second will be secondary (scell).
3

3CC
 In 3CC, 3 different frequencies/bands are used at same time.
• One will be primary (pcell) while rest of two will be secondary serving (Scell).

4CC
 In 4CC, 4 different frequencies/bands are used at same time.
• One will be primary (pcell) while rest of two will be secondary serving (Scell).

Q6:- what are the throughput criteria of LTE per MHz.

Ans:-

Q7:- Which parameter we observe / focus during DT

Ans:- In LTE we observe/see/focus on these parameters

• PCI
4

• RSRP

• RSRQ

• SINR

Q8:- PCI is stand for ?

Ans:- Physical Cell Identity.

Its range is from 0-503 total Identities as 504

Q9:- What is RSRP?

Ans:- RSRP (Reference Signal Receive Power) is the average power of Resource Elements
(RE) that carry cell specific Reference Signals (RS) over the entire bandwidth.

Or in sample word we can say that it is the strength of a signal with which ue ( mobile )
receive . it is measured in -dbm.

RSRP Ranges

Q10 :- RSRQ stand for ? and what are the ranges of RSRP.

Ans:- RSRQ – Reference Signal Received Quality.

Q11:- SINR stand for ? and what are the ranges of SINR.
5

Ans: SINR (Signal to Interference & Noise Ratio)

Q12: - Reason of Bad SINR

Ans: - Reason of Bad SINR

 Interference
 too much user.
 Hardware fault.

Q13:- what is the procedure of 4G SSV or What Testing we are performing in 4G SSV.

Ans: LTE SSV

1. Azimuths Confirmation
2. Swap check / cross check / cross feeder check
3. Coverage / Drive (idle + (Dedicated) DL)
4. Static testing (Throughput Testing)

5. Attach/detach

6. Latency test (ping test)

7. CSFB (MOC MTC)

8. Blind Re-direction/IRAT

Q:- 14 Types of HO in LTE.

Ans :- LTE Handover Types

1. Intra frequency to intra enode B handover: - if we perform fdd 2100 testing, handover within same
cell. From sector A fdd 2100 to another sector B fdd 2100 this handover is called intra frequency to intra
enode B handover.

2.Intra frequency to inter enode b handover. If we perform fdd 2100 testing handover from one site fdd
2100 frequecy to the neighbor site fdd 2100 frequency.

3.Inter frequency to intra enode b handover: - in this type of technology within same cell handover from
one frequency to another frequency. From fdd 1800 t0 FDD 2100.
6

4.Inter frequency to inter enode b. In this type, handover from one site fdd 1800 to another site
another frequency FDD 2100. This type of handover is called inter frequency to inter enode b.

Q15:- What is the Reason of Call Drop. ( 2G 3G LTE)

Ans:- Call Drop Reason: -

 HO Failure.
 Bad Coverage.
 Neighbor not defines.
 Interference.
