SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Project KAPIT, a Brigada Pagbasa Program encourages all educators,


stakeholders to donate reading materials such as educational books, story
books, children’s literature, fictional books and others in English, Filipino and
even Mother Tongue. Donated reading materials will be given to struggling
readers of the school to be served as supplementary materials for reading.
It encourages all stakeholders most specially the parents, tutors, home
buddies, siblings, other members of the family, donors, partners, teachers
and other individuals to render service for the reading sessions of the
struggling readers.

OBJECTIVES OF THE EVENT:

 To receive reading materials from stakeholders/donors

 Distribute reading materials to struggling readers of the school

 Invite volunteers, stakeholders, donors, tutors, home buddies, parents and


teachers to render service for the implementation of Project K.A.P.I.T
through virtual or face-to-face
 Build partnership among the stakeholders of the school through Project
K.A.P.I.T (Kasanayan sa Aspetong Pagbasa Isusulong ng Taumbayan)

 Improve the reading skills of the struggling learners of the school by these
supplementary materials with the help of the parents, teachers, home
buddies and volunteers.

PRELIMINARIES:

The School Reading and Pagbasa Coordinators led the teachers, class
advisers, academic teachers in encouraging the parents, stakeholders,
volunteers to donate reading materials. Donated books will be given to struggling
readers of the school as supplementary materials for reading. Parents,
stakeholders, home buddies and volunteers are also encouraged to help or assist
those struggling readers by voluntarily rendering their services through virtual
or face-to-face.

RESULTS:

The strong partnership of the teachers, parents, stakeholders, donors,


school principal, academic teachers and school personnel highlighted the success
of the said project by the number of reading materials donated by them and is
expected to help improve the reading skills of the struggling readers of the
school by these supplementary materials with the guidance or assistance of
their parents, teachers, home buddies and volunteers.
