In the king’s courtroom – The king is desperate; he needs a saviour for his daughter that

has been kidnapped.

A messenger enters.

The king: I wrote this missive for you to deliver to the most glorious knight there is. I

need someone to find and save my daughter, Princess Ember.

The messenger: Do you have someone in mind, my lord? I know none of any sort.

The king: Indeed, I have heard of such a knight, named Sir Steve, he is the most glorious

and brave man there is. He lives 150 miles up north, in this small village called Saint-

Clin-Clin-Des-Meuh-Meuh. Go and find him. I need me this man!

The messenger: Have no worries my lord. I will ride my fastest horse day and night and

bring you this heroic knight.

The king: Take this parchment, if Sir Steve accepts this quest, I’ll give him the hand of

my unique daughter. I’ll pray to the gods that you come back with our hero. Go now, time

is ticking.

The messenger: (bowing) Certainly, my lord.
