Objetivo: En esta e-class aprenderás a usar some- y any- para hablar de personas, lugares y cosas.

En ocasiones, cuando describimos o nos referimos a cosas, personas o lugares, no hablamos de


manera específica. En estos casos usamos las siguientes expresiones:

1) Para referirnos a gente:


a. Para oraciones afirmativas usamos someone/somebody. Ej. I saw
someone/somebody outside.
b. Para oraciones negativas usamos anybody/anyone. Ej. I didn’t see
anybody/anyone.
c. Para preguntas usamos anybody/anyone.
Ej. Did you meet anyone/anybody in the party?
d. Para respuestas negativas usamos nobody/no one.
Ej. A: Did you see him? B: No, I saw nobody/no one.

2) Para referirnos a cosas:


a. Para oraciones afirmativas usamos something. Ej. I saw something downstairs.
b. Para oraciones negativas usamos anything. Ej. I didn’t see anything.
c. Para preguntas usamos anything.
Ej. Have you drunk anything?
d. Para respuestas negativas usamos nothing.
Ej. A: Did you see anything? B: No, I saw nothing.

3) Para referirnos a lugares:


a. Para oraciones afirmativas usamos somewhere.
Ej. I’m bored. I want to go somewhere to have fun.
b. Para oraciones negativas usamos anywhere. Ej. Last night I didn’t go anywhere.
c. Para preguntas usamos anywhere.
Ej. Did you go anywhere yesterday?
d. Para respuestas negativas usamos nowhere.
Ej. A: where can I have a beer? B: Sorry, there’s nowhere to have a beer here.
