Wave SoundTouch®
SoundTouch® SA-4
SoundTouch® Stereo JC
At the prompt, click SAVE. Save the Update.stu file to your desktop.
Note: If you do not see the prompt, the file may have downloaded automatically. Look for the Update.stu file in the footer or header of your browser’s
window, or in your Downloads folder.
Insert the USB drive into the SETUP B connector on your system.
On the system’s button pad, press and hold the "4" and the volume-down buttons while plugging the power cord back into your system.
This screen appears indicating Software Update Mode.
The system updates and reboots. This takes less than five minutes.
After the system reboots, check the software version on your system.
On the system’s button pad, press and hold the "5" and volume-down buttons until the system information appears on the display.
Make sure that the software version number listed matches the software version that you downloaded from the SoundTouch® Software Update
page.
Press the volume-up or volume-down button to scroll to the 4.2 Firmware screen.
Make sure that the software version number listed matches the software version that you downloaded from the SoundTouch® Software Update
page.
SoundTouch® 10
You need a female USB A to male micro USB A adapter to perform the update. You can purchase the adapter from Bose (part number: 356138-0010)
or from an electronics retailer.

At the prompt, click SAVE. Save the Update.stu file to your desktop.

Insert the USB drive into the SERVICE connector on your system. (Note: A USB micro adapter is required if the drive has the more common USB A-
type connector)
On the system’s button pad, press and hold the "4" and the volume-down buttons while plugging the power cord back into your system.
The system updates and reboots. This takes less than five minutes.

While still holding AUX, press and hold the "4" and volume-down buttons.
The system updates and reboots. This takes less than five minutes.

On the system’s button pad, press and hold the "5" and volume-down buttons until the system information appears on the display.

Wave SoundTouch®
1. Download the software update file for your system
Select your system (This downloads the software update file onto your computer)
(This procedure will restore the system to factory defaults. The setup procedure in the SoundTouch® app will need to be rerun to get the system back
on the network.)
Insert the USB drive into the SETUP B connector on the Wave® SoundTouch® pedestal
Disconnect your system from power
On the back of the pedestal, press and hold the Control button to the left of the Wi-Fi indicator
Select your system (This downloads the software update file onto your computer)
3. Update your SoundTouch® system to the latest software version (This procedure will restore the system to factory defaults. The setup
procedure in the SoundTouch® app will need to be rerun to get the system back on the network.)
Connect the small end of the USB cable into the SETUP connector on the back of your SoundTouch® Wireless Link
Connect the large end of the USB cable to a USB port on your computer
Connect your SoundTouch® Wireless Link to power
Launch an Internet browser on your computer and go to http://203.0.113.1:17008/update.html
Select "Choose File" and browse the computer for the "Update.stu" file saved earlier
Select "Upload." A progress bar will appear in the browser window and the Wi-Fi indicator will show a white blinking pattern. This may take up to 10
minutes after which the SoundTouch® Wireless Link will reboot
Once the system has reboot, you should see a solid amber Wi-Fi indicator
Open the SoundTouch® app on your mobile device or computer, once logged into the app, add the system to your account
SoundTouch® 300
You need a female USB A to male micro USB A adapter to perform the update. You can purchase the adapter from Bose (part number: 356138-0010)
or from an electronics retailer.
At the prompt, click SAVE. Save the "Update.stu" file to your desktop.

Insert the USB drive into Setup port on the back of the soundbar.
Unplug the power cord from your system.
Press and release the SoundTouch button on the SoundTouch 300 remote.
Press and hold CC button on the remote while you apply power into the soundbar.(Keep pressing until the LEDs begin to flash from one source to
another on the front of the soundbar. This takes approximately 6 seconds.)
You should now see the Wi-Fi LED in a fast white blinking state and changing through sources.
After the lights stop blinking, wait about 10 minutes for the update to fully complete.
LifeStyle® 650/600
1. Download the software update file for your system
At the prompt, click SAVE. Save the "Update.avu" file to your desktop.
Note: If you do not see the prompt, the file may have downloaded automatically. Look for the "Update.avu" file in the footer or header of your
browser’s window, or in your Downloads folder.
Please note, the above steps require the initial out of box setup steps to be completed first. In other words, "Software Update" > "USB Update" is only
available from the UNIFY menu, which cannot be reached until the required initial out of box setup steps are complete.
Select your system below (this downloads the software update file onto your computer).

Unplug the power cord from your system.
On the top of the amplifier, press and hold the Control button near the Wi-Fi indicator, while plugging the power cord back into your system.
While holding the Control button, reconnect your system's power cord
Wait three seconds and then release the Control button
During this time, the white Wi-Fi Indicator below the Control button will show varied blink patterns. This may take up to 10 minutes after which the
amplifier will reboot
Once the amplifier has reboot, you should see a solid amber Wi-Fi indicator
Open the SoundTouch® app on your mobile device or computer, once logged into the app, add the system to your account
