Guidelines for Availing

Cashless Facility for


Hospitalization
What is cashless facility?
The insurance company/TPA has empaneled specific hospitals through which a cashless facility can be provided to the employee
and the enrolled beneficiaries. i.e. the patient can undergo treatment at the hospital without making a direct payment to the
hospital. The payment (up to the entitlement limit) is made from the insurance company to the hospital through the TPA.
Hospitalization can be availed only at network hospitals

STEP 1 portal to download your card instantly.

Click on the Hospital Network tab on your EWA portal


STEP 2 for GPS map-based search to locate the nearest hospital.

At the hospital, display your E-card at the Insurance Desk


STEP 3 along with any other valid Govt id proof.

Complete and submit the pre- authorization form.


STEP 4

Hospital will send the form to EWA for approval.


STEP 5 Note- Denial of pre- authorization request must not be construed
as a denial of treatment or coverage.

During the hospitalization, EWA may request your hospital for additional information
STEP 6 to approve interim claim and final bill before discharge. Note: In case the expenses are
not covered by the policy, you will have to settle the hospital bill in full.

At the time of discharge, please make sure that you check and sign the original bills and discharge
STEP 7 summary. Please carry home a copy of the signed bill, discharge summary, and all your investigation
reports. This is for your reference and will also be useful for your future healthcare needs.

Important Notes-
1. Room Rent Eligibility - Room Rent - INR 6,000/- for Normal & and no cap on ICU hospitalization. Selecting higher room category than eligibility will have
significant deductions which will be borne by the employee. (applicable to all bill line items)
2. Defined Benefit - Defined Benefit for particular ailment is the amount which is maximum payable against the claim, and deductions ar e applicable as per
room rent eligibility
3. and other non-medical deductions.
4. Initial/Pre-Approvals - All initial/pre-approvals are conditional approvals which should not be considered as final authorization. That will be evaluated on
receipt of discharge summary, final bill, and other supporting documents during discharge.
5. Hospital Discounts - Not to be collected from employee.
6. Non-Medical Items, Taxes, and Surcharges - To be paid by employee.
7. Security Deposit - As applicable, needs to be collected back from hospital.
