Associate in Fine Arts in Music | A10700
The Associate in Fine Arts in Music degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of
60 semester hours of college transfer courses. Within the degree program, GTCC includes opportunities for the
achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and basic
computer use.
Upon successful completion of the Associate in Fine Arts in Music degree, graduates will be able to:
■ Demonstrate strategies to acquire new information in the practice of music performance and music history.
■ Analyze relevant issues in music performance and music history.
■ Apply critical thinking through the demonstration of foundational skills in music.
■ Perform a representative sample of musical selections for educational and professional applications.

Total credits required for Associate in Fine Arts in Music Degree (60-
61 credits)
Students are responsible for contacting their intended transfer institution to ensure they select appropriate courses.
Students must meet the receiving university's foreign language and/or health and physical education
requirements, if applicable, prior to or after transfer to the senior institution.
Note:
*One semester hour of credit may be included in a 61 credits Associate in Fine Arts in Music degree. The transfer of this hour is
not guaranteed.
