THE SUN

AND THE
MOON
“His Credulousness
Killed the Stars.”

REITERATED FLASH FICTION VERSION WITH DIGITAL LAYOUTING

BY ANNIE GRACE C. CULANAG
The Sun had it all, the visage, omnipotence, dominance, and most of all, the
blessings of having children. Children with bright and burning charisma. But
little did they know, its magnetic persona threatened the Moon for her
children.

The Moon, worried with intimidation, affirmed that the Sun’s children will
bring nothing but peril to his children, that their existence is a menace to
their lives.
The moon thought of possible precautions. Weak for the wise, but strong
enough for the credulous. Credulousness: Sun’s weakest trait.

The Moon laid convincing yet treacherous ideas to the sun about the
benefits of killing his children for the common good. The Sun was hesitant;
however, he didn’t think through his decision. A decision that can slap him
with remorse and agony.
Sun was credulous enough to draw himself upon the Moon’s deceit and
tactics. He got convinced and carried out the assassination of his children.

Time elapsed and epiphanies structed the Sun’s sentiments. His bright
memories with his children haunted him with remorse, despondence, and
agony. The Sun realized that he is a victim of the Moon’s deceitfulness and
what’s even more devastating is him being victimized by his own
credulousness.
The Sun got full of exasperation, despondence, vindictiveness, and anguish.
His spirit is possessed of a rogue with an insatiable desire for vengeance.

The Sun’s vindictive spirit activated his system to chase for the Moon forever
with a goal of killing the Moon’s star children to satisfy his desire for
vengeance. The cycle of the Sun chasing the moon appeared as an unending
cycle of day and night with moon and stars at night and the sun appearing
alone in daytime.
As the sun approaches the moon, an eclipse is born so soon.
The cycle serves as the relic of the Sun and Moon’s feud.
A feud born as the Sun’s spirit is fueled by his anguish and
remorse from the history of his own credulousness that
killed his own stars.
