I. LEADERSHIP QUALITY:
1. Vision
 He want to bring victory to his club
 Create a strong young national football team of Vietnam and get them to
win the Sea Games, and AFF Cup,...
2. Relationship
 He built a strong and close relationship: Strict on the field but after the
match he was like their “father” - he plays with all the athletes.
 He is a good listener: he welcomes the athlete's opinions, comments, and
questions => modify the training plan if it’s necessary
 He cared about the mental and physical health of every member (he paid
attention to weather, location, meals, etc... during the competition)
 He did not create any distance among people in the team (friendly
attitudes, compliments, cheering everyone up)
3. Trust
 He trust his strategies: Even though there are a lot of people doubt him,
he still believe in his strategies and leads the team to win glorious
victories
 He trusts his players: some players are not in good form, he still believes
in them and gives them a chance. and then they breakthrough and bring
victory.
 He gains trust from people: He gain trust from his players and
Vietnamese people after gaining some achievements.
4. Commitment
 Never accept defeat, always move on
 Never feel comfortable with wins -> Always look forward
 Focus on small details about nutrients, players’ health
5. Competence
 He is an experienced football expert who has coached numerous teams in
South Korea and Japan, achieving prestigious titles. He also holds a FIFA
coaching license.
 He instills a high fighting spirit in his players. He always demands that
his players give their best and never give up. This was evident in the
match against Malaysia in the World Cup 2022 second round qualifiers
when the Vietnamese national team came from behind to win 2-1.

=> LESSON:
 Setting Clear Goals: Park has been successful in setting clear objectives
and goals for his team. Leaders should define specific, achievable goals
and communicate them to their team.
 Empowering Others: Park empowers his players, allowing them to make
decisions and take ownership of their roles. Empowering team members
can lead to greater engagement and success.
 Building Trust: Trust is fundamental in leadership. Park Hang-seo's trust
in his players and staff, and their trust in him, is a key factor in his
success. Leaders should prioritize building and maintaining trust within
their teams.
 Leveraging maximumly sources and materials: Optimizing current
sources to plan effective training strategy, not focus on the tough goal
 Learn from both failure and success: Got over failure when he was
fired in the past, Looking for new opportunities even after his glory
(having high achievements with the Korean national team, China team,...)
 Focus on details: Concerning the smallest things for the team (nutrition,
practicing condition, health, weather,...), Motivating his team before
match (analyzing enemy weakness, give clear strategy,…), and after the
match (providing health treatment)
 Being consistent toward one goal: In almost every matches, he always
devotes his time, strength and knowledge for leading his team to success
 Creating friendly relationships with your team: He is not bossy coach
but like a father to VN national team (he treated every single player in the
team like his son)
