In class, we will be using as much Spanish as we can. Here are some expressions
that you should know.

General Commands for everyday use in the classroom Levántense, por

favor - Stand, please

Presten atención– Pay attention

Siéntense, por favor – Sit, please


Silencio, por favor – Silence, please
Other useful expressions
Escuchen - Listen Lean - Read Escriban - Repita, por favor (usted) – Please repeat (formal)
Write Repite, por favor (tú) – Please repeat (informal)

Abran - Open Cierren - Close Levanta la mano – Raise your hand

No entiendo- I don't understand

No comprendo- I don't understand

No sé- I don't know

¿Qué significa…?- What does .... mean?

¿Puedo ir al baño, por favor?- May I go to the bathroom, please?
