IS IT BETTER TO DO THINGS WITH

OTHER PEOPLE OR DO THEM ON YOUR

OWN?

Many people feel that teamwork doesn’t matter, because one may do a
better job on their own and I somewhat agree with them.
It seems to me that more and more teachers are trying to have students
focus on teamwork. While I agree there are some advantages in group projects
– finishing the work faster, socialising with the people on your team – I can
also see some disadvantages – having opposite ideas to your teammates, not
having a space to meet, having a group leader who won’t listen to others’
opinions.
It is often said that teamwork is necessary in a sport. However, some
people disagree. In individual sports, such as tennis and swimming, teamwork
isn’t required, unless in a team competition, where competitors need to
communicate and support each other.
It is true that, in an office, teamwork makes everything go smoother.
For example, journalists can team up on writing an article, so that they are
able to complete it on time. That way, they share opinions and write an article
much better than a single journalist would.
Finally, it is clear to me that there are many advantages in teamwork.
