Process Operation:
Selecting a controller accesses the controller
parameter entry block and process variable trending.
• Adjust the controller mode, setpoint & output
• Adjust the controller tuning constants
• Select PID controller type (interacting/non-
interacting)
• View process trends
• Process variable (PV) in engineering units and
percent of span
• Controller output and setpoint
• Zoom in/out and coordinates cursor

Simulators
• Use the simulator to optimize Hi-D consistency process systems
• Define Hi-D tower parameters (tower height, dilution zone size and
agitation)
• Select pumps, valves and piping parameters. Match your process to
determine if improvements are achievable and to evaluate design options
• Tune controllers and implement tuning strategies
• Select from 3 minor control strategies; consistency only, consistency to
flow cascade and consistency ratio
• Select from 3 major dilution control strategies; midrange, stock flow
ratio, dilution zone control
• Use ramp functions to evaluate control loop linearity
• Inject cyclic and step disturbances to evaluate control performance
• Vary stock consistencies, chest levels and pump sizes to identify system
throughput limitations and the effects on chest mixing
• Use the simulator to select the best pump and valve combination to
optimize system performance
• Match your pump and valve combination to determine if a VFD will
improve control performance and pump efficiency
• Use the ramp functions to evaluate control loop linearity and optimize
the controller tuning
• Inject cyclic and step disturbances to evaluate control performance
and linearity
• Vary fiber type, chest levels, piping design and stock flows and
consistencies to identify system throughput limitations/opportunitie
Note: Each simulator is USB plug protected. Pricing subject to change without notice.
