4. Procedures

4.1. Introductory Activity: 10 minutes


A. Routinaries: prayer, checking of attendance,etc
Show a powerpoint slide of the pictures/logos of UN, EU, APEC, and ASEAN. Facilitating the decoding game, let the class
navigate their cellphones to unlock/decode the word that collectively describes/identifies the picture shown.
The word to be unlocked/decoded is GLOBALIZATION.
4.2 Activity: 10 minutes
Activity 1: The class is to be divided into 3 groups. Each group will be provided with color-coded metacards. The teacher posts
the following terms (integration, terrorism, international, economic crisis, interchange, world, racism) and the groups are to
select and write the terms in the metacards which they think connect/signify ideas of globalization.
Activity 2: Using the terms that has relation to the concept of globalization, each group shall arrive on a meaning of
globalization using the sentence/thought completion activity.

4.3 Analysis 10 minutes


A. The teacher will present a matrix and task each group to analyze it and fill-in the required information to complete the
matrix (see attachment) through the following guide questions:
1. What are portrayed in the pictures assigned to your group? Did it show differences or similarities?
2. How do you classify them as to the type of influence of globalization to nation-states?
3. How do you evaluate them as to the outcome/impact of the influence of globalization to nation-states?
B. Additional set of examples are to be provided by the teacher and the students are to determine and justify them
accordingly using the information matrix.
4.4 Abraction 5 minutes
Each group will come up with a concept web about globalization and a representative from each group will
present to the class their output
4.5 Application 10 minutes
In the same groupings, the class will be task to do the matrix on Situational Analysis (see attachment) about possible scena
where the influences of globalization that may affect the career/lives of the students.
4.6 Assessment 10 minutes
Formulate a slogan campaigning/advocating globalization's role in strengthening relations among nation-states
based on the rubrics focusing on:
1.) Clarity of concept 2.) Significance 3.) Creativity

4.7 Assignment (Enrichment) 2 minutes
Read articles or watch from the television issues or events that are related to globalization. Prepare at least one article
or issue and indicate your insights on your journal notebook. Each group will decide to share one output to the class.
4.8 Concluding Activity 3 minutes
Play a video regarding strengthening partnerships and relationships among nation-states through globalization.
