1.0 INTRODUCTION
According to Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), Malaysian would expect an increase
in life span to 12 years more than in 1970 which from 63.6 years to 75.6 years. Due to longer
life expectancy, Malaysia key player industry in construction need to step up their game in
term of Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ) applied on the house as what we know, last global
pandemic caused by covid-19 forced us to work from home making us spend almost 100% in
our residency. Providing a convenient indoor environment proven to make the occupant’s
productivity increase, decrease the sick building syndrome (SBS), thus preserve the energy
sustainability (Licina et al.,2021; Ye et al., 2022; Cedeno-Laurent et al.,2018; Guo et al.,2021;
Nimlyat et al.,2021). Green Building implementation could give a bigger picture in upgrading
the community’s health (Licina et al.,2021). These factors have encouraged researchers to
invent new rating tools like WELL V2 (International WELL Building Institute 2020) and FitWel
(GSA,2019) (Licina et al., 2021).

3.0 CONCLUSION
In conclusion, many researchers focus on main IEQ element such as IAQ, acoustic, thermal,
and lighting but like Ye et al. (2021) state, double-skin façade is not getting enough attention
as they are usually used in green building technologies in order to sustain the energy use
especially in high rise building. Lack of knowledge and cooperation from parties involved in
making of the building design between the architect and contractors with who the occupant of
to ensure their productivity at maximum most of the time they accommodate the building
(Nimlyat et al.,2021; Licina et al.,2021; Cedeno-Laurent et al.,2018). This indicate to the
readiness of both occupant and key player to provide honest feedback to solve this
unrecognized situation by past researcher especially in Malaysia where people be sugar-
coating their word which make it more difficult plus the “halo” effect that make it worse. At the
end of the day, a good correlation between this parties can guarantee the occupant is happy
with the IEQ provided by the design and builders team (Licina et al.,2021).
