Marking guide for scales and thirds:
- one mistake is minus 3 marks
- a mistake is wrong note, a re-start, a skipped note, sloppy fingers ("notes
between notes"), poorly subdivided/off tempo

Guide for HP&FM Exercises:

- each repeat to be played 3x and then hold 1st note
- R = means use Right Hand option for note that has alternate; L = means use
Left Hand option for note that has alternate; BOTH = do exercises
twice practiced using both alternates
-R (with arrow) means continue to keep that right pinky down or
means keep whole right hand down
- each exercise is worth 4 marks
- one mark is deducted for incorrect execution such as a wrong note, a re-
start, a skipped note, sloppy fingers ("notes between notes"), poorly
subdivided/off tempo, miscounting repeats, poor hand position, incorrect
finger motion

Additional help may be sought out from studio instructor in lessons if necessary.

Due to scheduling and fairness to all students, there will be no make-up quizzes
for these. They are to be considered as in-class quizzes and each quiz missed
results in a mark of zero.
