PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS

1338 MW is expected to connect to the grid in 2023 and 3081 MW in 2024.

A survey conducted by Eskom showed that the total number of projects in
development is 66 GW.

One project from RMIPPPP is on track to reach legal close by the end of October
New Gx 2023, and two further projects by December 2023. These projects will
contribute an additional 424 MW once completed.

Three more projects from Bid Window 5 are on track to reach commercial
close by the end of November 2023, representing 300 MW.

Wheeling Rooftop solar capacity in South Africa has more than doubled since July 2022 to
FRamework over 4,500 MW, helping to reduce load shedding over the winter months.

PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS

A total of 1136.5 MW has been approved for Eskom’s Standard Offer

Standard Programme, exceeding the target of 1000 MW. The standard offer allows
Offer Programme Eskom to buy power from companies with extra capacity available at a
cheaper price than the use of OCGTs.

The NECOM wheeling framework is finalised and being prepared for submission to
NERSA. The framework sets out the principles of non-discriminatory rights of
Wheeling & Net access to wheel electricity and the charges to be raised.
Billing Framework
A draft Net Billing Framework has been developed and is awaiting approval by
NERSA. This will ensure all distributors have an export credit for feeding power
into the grid.
