The Indus valley civilization flourished under the Harappans, and they inhabited lands of vast area.

They created new metals and forged new weapons due to their newfound techniques in metallurgy
and handicraft. Copper was mostly used with bronze, lead, and tin to create these devices. They used
to live in proper homes and those were built of brick, had a proper roadside drainage system. They
were the first ones to develop multi-storeyed houses. The inhabitants migrated to different parts of
India after the demise of the great civilization and their people came to the Himalayan foothills of
Ganga-Yamuna basin where they prospered again.
