Awareness Session

A Report on Awareness Session for stake holders related to Course Outcomes (CO) and
Program Outcomes (PO)

Following topics were discussed during the session.

 Explained the current teaching learning process practicing in the program (B. Tech in
Mechanical Engineering).

 The importance of Outcome Based Education (OBE) and its benefits. The process of
achieving OBE is thoroughly discussed.

 Discussed the Course Outcomes (CO’s) of each course in the program curriculum and
their RBT levels.

 Discussion on the Program Outcomes (PO’s) and their weightage. A Mapping matrix
table of CO-PO was discussed with example.

 The constructive question paper setting with mapping of CO’s including RBT level
and assessment of student performance with rubrics.

 The components of direct assessment methods and indirect assessment methods of

both CO’s and PO’s were discussed

 Finally, the process used in assessing the achievement of Program Outcomes was well
explained in detail.
