A Report on Awareness Session for students related to Course Outcomes (CO) and
Program Outcomes (PO)
Date: 20/08/2022 (3rd Sem), 03/09/2022 (5th Sem) and 17/09/2022 (7th Sem)

Following topics were discussed during the session.

• A small discussion on the current teaching learning process and its drawbacks.

• The importance of Outcome Based Education and how it can be achieved at different
stages was discussed.

• Explained the course plan contents with example in order to understand the Course
outcomes and course assessment plan.

• A detailed discussion on Course Outcomes and how we were framed them at different
stages using the action word. Bloom’s taxonomy and its verbs were also discussed.

• A thoroughly explained the Program Outcomes and their levels. A Mapping matrix of
CO-PO was discussed.

• Assess the performance of each student with rubrics by direct and Indirect methods in
order to measure the CO’s.

• Finally, the process used in assessing the achievement of Program outcomes was well
explained in detail.
