2: And my name is ___ . Today we will be presenting about the revolution of


smartphones.
1: As we all know, smartphones play an important role in our life, but how exactly did
they came to be as we know them now?

1 : The first mobile phone was made by Martin Cooper in the 1973, it was the DynaTAC.
The DynaTAC were large and weighted about a kilogram. Although it was expensive,
many people still bought it. However, the DynaTAC was only able to be used for an
hour before needing to be charged. It had a weak signal and many problems.

1: In the 90s, 2G mobile systems was introduced and it improved reception over wider
areas. This system made it possible for mobile phones to send small amounts of data
such as Short Message Service ( SMS ). Mobile phones also evolved, with coloured
screens and a wide variety of ringtones, cameras were also available.

2 : In the early 2000s, 3G mobile internet was introduced. This was the time when
smartphones were available. Smartphones during the time had large touchscreens and
can act as Internet browsers, media players and game consoles all in one. You can also
use it to video call or mobile TV.

2 : While in the late 2000s, 4G mobile internet was introduced and made it so that
smartphones are able to download and upload information faster.
