ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Foundation Modules for Engineering programme is designed for those intending to pursue
further university education in the study of engineering.

To be well prepared for and to do well in a good engineering course in a university, students require
a strong foundation in Mathematics & a good understanding of the principles applied in Engineering
disciplines.

This programme is an intensive course aimed at strengthening the necessary foundation so that
undergraduates-to-be will be better able to cope when they embark on their degree programmes.
Although specially crafted to complement NUS’ B.TECH Programme, it is also open to others
interested in a good foundation of knowledge necessary for an engineering degree or who are keen
to deepen or refresh their understanding of the subject matter.

Students will be taught by NUS’ academics and will receive a Certificate of Attendance from NUS.

There will be 2 runs per year – Jun/July and Nov/Dec

PROGRAMME FEES & OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Fundamental Module - S$400.00

• Fundamental Module & One Disciplinary Module - S$750.00
(Price is inclusive of 7% GST and a non-refundable administrative fee of S$20.00)

Due to limited seats, the registration is on a first come first served basis.

Priority will be given to students who are applying for NUS’ BTECH Programme.

Prepayment of the fee is required.

We will communicate with registrants via email regarding any matters that may arise from their
application. Hence, we emphasise the importance of providing us with valid and alternate contact
details.

Only upon full payment of fee will the programme materials be provided on the first lesson.

Full payment is to be made by the closing date of the respective modules.

Refund Policy

Any request for a refund of course fees paid before/after commencement of the course shall be made
as per the following refund policy:

% of aggregate amount of the fees If a student’s written notice of withdrawal is received

100% More than 14 working days before the course
commencement date
50% Before, but not more than 7 working days before the course
commencement date
25% On the date of the third lesson
0% From the third lesson onward

Note: The above percentage is to be applied to the standard amount payable for the particular
course. If the actual payment exceeds the particular course, the excess amount shall be fully
refunded. If the actual payment is less than then the standard course fee, the above formula is
applicable based on the standard course fees and shortage shall be collected from the student. All
requests for refund are subject to the programme manager’s approval. The SGD20.00 administrative
fee is not refundable.

Withdrawal Policy

Request for withdrawal must be sent through email with reasons for withdrawal/refund. The notice of
withdrawal from the programme must be emailed to ope3-fmp@nus.edu.sg. OPE³ will send an
acknowledgement of withdrawal request via email, within five (5) working days of receipt of the
withdrawal email.
