St John’s College Durham: Payment Terms 2023-24

College residence fees are raised at the start of the academic year. They may be paid in full
or split into three equal instalments over the 3 terms.

• UK Payments payable by BACS transfer


• International students are encouraged to pay by Barclays-Transfermate, a new
payment option which allows international students to pay St John’s College without
international bank charges, and a competitive foreign exchange rate.

College additional fees will be included on invoice. Payments are due within 30 days in the
first term, and within 14 days in the subsequent two terms. Failure to pay by the due date
may result in a late payment charge. If you are experiencing financial hardship, or there is a
delay in your funding, please contact the Finance Team on johns.finance@durham.ac.uk
who will be happy to take any queries.

Please Note: St John’s College is an independent college within Durham University,


therefore residence invoices are paid direct to St John’s College. The Durham University
Finance Department raise tuition invoices and hold different bank details.

The Finance Office working hours are Monday-Friday 09:00–16:00.
