REFLECTION FOR LEARNER CENTERED TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

As a teacher, I firmly believed that the students learn best when they
are actively engaged in the subject matter and given the opportunity to
explore and experiment firsthand. The teaching should emphasis on the
students’ individual needs and their own character. Everyone is different,
such as learning styles. Thus, the traditional format of teaching won’t work
out for the whole student body. The teaching method should be variable
and fit into individual needs. So, I must create opportunities for students to
engage in meaningful discussions, presentations, and collaborative
projects. Through small group activities, debates, and role plays, students
practice articulating their thoughts, active listening, and respectful
communication. Multimedia integration resources and technology tools to
enhance their presentation skills and digital literacy. And my goal as a
teacher then becomes a facilitator or guide who is there to help my
students make the most of their learning.
