PERDEV AND PHILOSOPHY – PERFORMANCE TASK 3

(MAJOR PT)

Goal: Your task is to inspire teenagers or adolescents about personalities and their unique
qualities that made a difference in the world. They will also briefly add how they cope with
stress to maintain their mental health.

Role: All members will be the writers of their stories. Work with the following pages or
instructions:
Layout your work including the title of your magazine, next is the rationale or meaning
behind your magazine’s name (after you open the cover/ left side part), put table of
contents (right side after you open the cover) (title and name of the author on the left side
then page on the right side), on the next page (left side) your collage photos (any best
photos and/or you can have your best photo) and on the right side, present your life
articles (it should occupy the entire part of the paper). Then other members will follow up
until the end. Alphabetical for all members and leader.

Audience: The target audience will be your classmates, teachers, and other adolescents.

Situation: They must feature all members of the group. There will be 5 groups with 8-10
members. Since there are a lot of challenges that an adolescent face before he/she becomes a
responsible adult (present the challenges), the group should inspire their audience and give
advice (advice how to cope with the stress to maintain their mental health) or on how to deal
with stress and how will it affect their personality. Make an article (informative, persuasive
and alike) with three or more paragraphs.

Product/Performance and Purpose:

1. The class will be divided into five groups (compose of writers and editors).
2. They will create a magazine that features their personalities that could make a difference in the
world and how they cope with stress.
3. The magazine must have cover page and it must follow the following areas:

 Cover page with big name of the magazine (above), include your best magazine cover (no
revealing photos). You can create a cover magazine within the vicinity of your own
homes or within the school. You can have the cover photo containing all faces of the
members or you have your own theme. No copy paste work from the internet.
 No similar name or title of the magazine, it must be something new and creative. No
plagiarized work.
 For your collage photos, you can have any of your best photos or you can take new
photo/s.
 Edited photos are allowed. Be creative with your magazine.
 Apply the contrasting (dark background, light texts or light background, dark texts).
 Any font style and font size. It should fit to your overall theme.
 No minimum and maximum number of pages.
 Print the magazine in any of the following sizes – Short, A4, and/or long.
 Any paper will be used (glossy, etc.).

4. All members are required to participate, if in any case the member is not able to submit his/her
part, it is subject for ‘no output’ or ‘zero’. The team leaders must reach out to their members and
understand the case.

5. This is a performance task for both subjects, Philosophy and Personal Development. You are
required to submit only 1 magazine.

6. Submit the magazine on or before OCTOBER 26, 2023 (5:00PM). You are encouraged to
submit it before the examinations if possible.

7. Late output is subject for deduction from the total score. 1 minute to 1 hour late is equivalent
to 2% deduction, 2 hours late is equivalent to 4% deduction, and so on
