Research Design
Sampling
The researchers have to determine how the different learning techniques affect
academic performances. In order to gather data, the researchers selected 10 tentative
Grade 11 students in Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. Senior High School. Their experiences served as data to
determine the viability of learning styles application into academic performances and
teaching techniques.
Data Collection
In gathering the data for the study, the following steps were undertaken:
a.) The researchers asked permission and help from the school principal of LYFJSHS to
conduct an interview to the selected students.
b.) The researchers also asked a permission to individually interview the selected students in
every strand of LYFJSHS during their free time online. The following questions served as a
guide:
1. What is your preference from the 4 learning styles: Visual, Audio, Read/Write, and
Kinesthetic (VARK)? Why?
2. Do you have any techniques to make your study easier? What is it?
3. What kind of teaching techniques make you understand the lessons easier?
5. Do you find it hard to cope up with tasks not suitable for your preference (VARK)?
Why?
Ethical Issues
The researchers are responsible for the participants' welfare. The selected
participants were fully informed about the interview's coverage. The interviewers explained
to the participants that the topic of the research is about learning styles. The researchers
ensured confidentiality with the participants' identity and privacy.
