Firefly AI 25.0.0.2254 for Adobe Photoshop 2023
Developer: Adobe
Medicine: Cured
Firefly's AI is currently focused on generating effects for images and text, and
one of its main USPs is modifying and creating content-based images directly in
Photoshop.
Firefly supports a feature called Generative Fill, which allows you to change the
original image (adding and removing objects, changing the weather, changing the
shape of objects, etc.) taking into account perspective, lighting and style.
This way, you can create the content you need in seconds using natural language.
At the time of this release, Adobe Firefly is only available in Photoshop beta
24.7.
But m0nkrus invites you to take advantage of the capabilities of this service now.
The Adobe Firefly patch has been rebuilt based on a more recent beta version of
Photoshop, making the "Generative expand" option available in addition to the
"Generative Fill" option.

Question: How is Adobe Firefly supported? What does the patch do?
Answer: It's simple: I took several key files from Photoshop 25.0 Beta required to
support Firefly, and through a patch I replaced them with the original files of
Photoshop 24.7 installed on you.
The original files are also saved. They will have the extension *.orig.
So you still have the option to return to the original product.
Question: Will everything be treated? Will there be any need to hack anything else
after applying the patch?
Answer: The patch contains already disinfected files. If necessary, you can use the
program even without authorization.
True, Firefly will not work in this mode.
However, we would like to point out that Firefly accesses the same IP addresses as
the pop-up window outside Russia with a notification about the need for
authorization.
So the blocking of these addresses, which was implemented in my 2023 product
builds, had to be removed!
After adding Firefly, blocking is performed using an alternative method.
Question: I got a pop-up window “This non-genuine Adobe app will be disabled soon”
with a countdown until the end of the trial. What should I do?
Answer: To make it possible to use Firefly, I had to unblock this window in the
Windows Firewall and replace it with a block in the hosts file.
At the time of the patch's release, two addresses were relevant for blocking:
ic.adobe.io and 1hzopx6nz7.adobe.io.
But if the first address is static, then after a while the second one changes to
another one with a random name.
Once you see this window, it means it’s time to change the second address in hosts
to a fresh, more relevant one.
To calculate it, you will need the Fiddler Classic utility (or its equivalent).
Download, install and run this utility. After that, launch Photoshop.
Wait a while (about a minute) and click the Find button in the Fiddler Classic
toolbar.
Enter the address "adobe.io" in the "Find" field and set the "URLs only" value in
the "Search" field, then run the search.
Found addresses will be highlighted in yellow.
Among the found ones, select the address that has a meaningless set of characters
at the beginning, something like 5zgzzv92gn.adobe.io.
With this address you found, you need to replace a similar address in the hosts
file, after which the annoying pop-up window will disappear until the next address
change.
Question: When I try to run the patch, I receive an error message. What should I
do?
Answer: The patch is a self-extracting 7zip archive. Sometimes a crookedly
configured OS is not able to cope with running such a file.
But this is not a sentence! Unpack FireflyAI.exe using an archiver available to you
and run the replace.cmd file in the unpacking.
It will work and close, thereby completing the necessary edits.
Question: When using Generative Fill, the progress bar is almost completely filled
and then either everything freezes or an error occurs. What's wrong?
Answer: Do not forget that this is a beta version of the AI, and also that this is
an online service, and its operation may be hampered by trivial problems on the
line or overload of Adobe servers.
Plus, remember that we are using all this illegally, and Adobe may try to somehow
limit our activity.

Question: The icon on the Photoshop shortcut has changed, as has the program's
splash screen. Is there any way to painlessly return it to how it was?
Answer: Everything is simple with the icon. Right-click on the shortcut and select
"Properties".
Next, click “Change icon” and “Browse...”.
Select "All files" as the file type and point to the file Photoshop.exe.orig.
All that remains is to save the changes! As for the screensaver, everything is more
complicated.
It is not possible to change it. But it can be removed completely so that it
doesn’t become an eyesore.
This is again done in the “Properties” of the shortcut.
In the “Object” field at the end of the line (after the last quote), indent it with
a space and add -NoSplash. All! A program launched from this shortcut will start
without a splash screen.

Question: After applying Generative Fill, the program often crashes without any
system. Can anything be done about this?
Answer: Do not forget that the patch is based on beta version files of the program,
so glitches are quite possible. It was found out experimentally that the problem
occurs only when the Contextual Task Bar is turned on, through which Generative
Fill is launched. Here you can create a “crutch” by turning off the ill-fated panel
and creating a bypass operation to start generation.
To do this, open some image in Photoshop, turn on the “Actions” panel in the
“Window” menu and select any small fragment of the image. After that, at the bottom
of the “Actions” panel, to create a new operation, click on the square icon with a
plus sign inside. In the window that opens, set the name of the operation and
assign a function key of your choice to run it, then click “Record”. Now move to
the “Contextual Task Bar” panel, successively click “Generative Fill” and
“Generate” and wait for the operation to complete. When finished, return to the
Actions panel and complete the recording by clicking on the very first icon in the
form of a square. Now in the “Window” menu we disable the “Contextual Task Bar”
panel, which causes the crash. That's it, the preparatory work is finished! Now we
will run Generative Fill using the operation we created. You can launch it either
from the Actions panel, or using a previously assigned function key. The first
generation will be without specifying a specific task. But after this generation,
an input field (prompt) will appear in the “Properties” panel, where we can enter
our task, and then re-run the already meaningful generation. A little tedious. But
the number of Photoshop crashes will decrease tenfold! Now we will run Generative

Do not turn on the Tool Bar, crash is guaranteed.
----------
If there are constant crashes:
Recorded an Action from one step - click on the Generative Fill button of the
Contextual Tool Bar;
- disabled the Contextual Tool Bar once and for all;
- at any moment I select the desired area and run the recorded macro, and, lo and
behold, it works without crashes!
You can make new selections on top of existing layers as many times as you like and
it works great. There is only one drawback - if you need to write a promt, you will
have to wait for the first 3 options to be generated and only then write something
in the Properties window.
1. write an Action from one step pressing the Generative Fill button of the
Contextual Tool Bar without prompt;
2. turn off the Contextual Tool Bar;
3. at any time, select the desired area and run the recorded Action.
If you need to write a promt, you will have to wait for the generation of the first
three options and only then write something in the Properties window.
----------
If Generative Fill does not appear:
"FireflyAI.exe" is a self-extracting 7zip archive. Unpack it with an archiver and
run the "replace.cmd" file during unpacking.
----------
Generative fill stopped working.
You must log back into Photoshop itself.
----------
The Generative Fill button will appear if all tools are set to default.
If you have customized tools, then this brush does not appear.
----------
If you just need to fill out an area, just put a space or a dot in the request
field. After this, Firefly quietly generates and does not throw you out of the
program.
----------
Roll back from the version of the patch "Firefly AI update 1" to the previous
"Firefly AI":
Simply restore the file "PSRes.dll.orig".
The remaining changes to restore the previous version are not significant.
----------
These are the 2 ips removed from the firewall for the Generative Fill to work:
18.207.85.246
23.22.254.206
but attention, only remove them after you have entered photoshop, it has to be
open, because if you remove it before, when entering in photoshop the popup will
appear.
After closing photoshop, put both ips back on the firewall and repeat the process
the next time you use it.
