HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE?

መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን እንዴት መረዳት ይቻላል?

(Yohaannis 7:17)

Kitaabni Qulqulluu kitaaba seenaa namoonni baratan qofaan hubachuu dand’an miti. Ergaawwan
hedduun achi keessaa namoota homaa hin baranne garuu akka xalayyaatti Yesuus kiristoosiin
deeggaramaniiti. Yeroo kitaaba qulqulluu ykn sagalee isaa qo’annu, wantoota torba (7) haalaan
beekuu qabna.
መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ምሁራን ብቻ ሊረዱት የሚችሉት የታሪክ ሰነድ እንዳልሆነ አስታውስ። በጣም ከሚያስደስቱ የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ
ግንዛቤዎች አንዳንዶቹ ተራ ትምህርት ካላቸው ተራ ሰዎች የመጡ ናቸው ለመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ የኢየሱስ የግል ደብዳቤ ብቻ ምላሽ
ሰጥተዋል። የእግዚአብሔርን ቃል ስትመረምር፣ ልብ ልትሏቸው የሚገቡ ሰባት አስፈላጊ መመሪያዎች እዚህ አሉ፡-
REMEMBER THAT the Bible is not some historical document that only scholars can
understand. Some of the most exciting biblical insights have come from ordinary people with
ordinary educations who simply responded to the Bible as a personal letter from Jesus. As you
explore God’s Word, here are seven important principles to keep in mind:

1. Kadhannaa Onnee guutuun Kitaaba Qulqulluu dubbisi

Study the bible with a prayerful heart.

በጸሎት ልብ መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን አጥና

Yoo nuti onnee banamaa fi yaada qulqullaa’aan kitaaba qulqulluu kan dubbisnu taane, dhugumatti
kitaabni qulqulluu shaakala dhuunfaa Yesuus waliin qabnudha. Akkuma kitaaba qulqulluu bannee
dubbisuu eegalluun, hafuura qulqulluu affeeruu yaadachuu qabna. Maaliif, kan nu hubachiisu
human hafuura qulqulluu waan ta’eefi. (Yoh. 16:13-14)

waan dhaga’u dubbata malee, of keessaa fuudhee hin dubbatu; waan dhufuuf jirus isinitti ni

በጸሎት በተከፈተ ልብ እና አእምሮ ቅዱሳት መጻህፍትን የምትቀርቡ ከሆነ ቃሉ በእውነት ከኢየሱስ ጋር የግል ልምምድ ይሆናል።
መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን ስትከፍት መንፈስን እንደ አስተማሪህ መጋበዝህን አስታውስ፡፡ (የዮሐንስ ወንጌል 16፡13ና 13)

If you approach Scripture with a heart and mind opened through prayer, the Word truly becomes
a personal experience with Jesus. Remember to invite the Spirit in as your teacher when you open
the Bible: (Read John. 16:13-14)

2. Kitaaba Qulqulluu guyya guyyaan dubbisi

Read the bible daily.

Paul commended the Berean Christians because “they received the word with all readiness, and
searched the Scriptures daily to find out” what was true (Acts 17:11). Daily Bible study is a key to
power in our lives (Romans 1:16).

 3. Kitaaba Qulqulluu of eegannoo dubbisi.

Study the bible carefully

መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን በጥንቃቄ አጥኑ

Eertuu kitaaba qulqulluu keessatti wanta barreeffame garuma nutti fakkaatetii

hiikkachuu/fudhachuu osoo hin taane, of eegannoo dubbisaa, yeroo dubbisnu immoo yaada
waaqayyoo waliin walitti hidhu qabna. (2ffaa Ximiitiyoos 2:15)
15Ati akka hojetaa qoramee fudhatamee, waan itti yeella’uu hin qabnetti, akka nama dubbicha isa
dhugaadhaan qajeeltootti hojetuutti Waaqayyo dura of dhaabachiisuudhaaf dhama’i.
የእርስዎን አስተያየት ወይም ዝንባሌ የሚስማማ የሚመስለውን ማንኛውንም የተሳሳተ ጽሑፍ ብቻ አይያዙ። በአንቀጹ ውስጥ
የተነገረውን በተቻለ መጠን በጥንቃቄ እና በተጨባጭ ይመልከቱ። መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን ማንበብ ከእግዚአብሔር ሐሳብ ጋር
መገናኘት ነው። (2ኛ ወደ ጢሞቴስ 2፡15 ኣንብቡ)
Paul told Timothy to study the Bible as “a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Don’t just grab any stray text that seems to suit your
opinions or inclinations. Look as carefully and as objectively as possible at what is being said in
the passage. Reading the Bible is an encounter with the mind of God.

4. Kitaaba qulqulluu lakkoofsa lakkoofsaan ykn boqonnaa boqonnaattin

qo’adhu

Study the bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by

book.

የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስን ጥቅስ በቁጥርና በምዕራፍ በምዕራፍ፣ አጥኑ

የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስን እያንዳንዱን መግለጫ ከዐውዱ አንጻር መረዳትህን አረጋግጥ፡ ለማን እየተነገረ ነው፣ ምን ችግር እንዳለበት፣
በዙሪያው ያሉ ሌሎች ንግግሮች፣ ወዘተ. ዋናው ጥያቄ የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ጸሐፊ ምን ለማለት አስቦ ነበር? አንድ ጽሑፍ ምን
ማለት እንደሆነ ከተረዳን በኋላ ዛሬ በሕይወታችን ላይ በጥበብ ተግባራዊ ማድረግ እንችላለን። (ትንቢት ኢሳያስ 8፡20ና 2ኛ
የጴጥሮሽ መልክት 3፡16)
As you read it, let the Bible speak for itself. Since the Bible is a message from Jesus, it is not just
true; it is the test of all truth (Isaiah 8:20). So we should never let any “religious” belief or principle
explain away any part of Scripture. Trying to make the Bible fit into a preconceived idea will only
cause us to distort the Scriptures to our “own destruction” (2 Peter 3:16, KJV). Make sure you
understand each statement of the Bible in the light of its context: who is being spoken to, what
problem it refers to, what other statements surround it, etc. The key question is: What did the Bible
writer intend to say? After grasping what a text means, we can apply it intelligently to our lives
today.

5. Kitaaba qulqulluu akka gosa barnootaatti qo’adhu

STUDY THE BIBLE BY SUBJECT.

መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን በርዕሰ ጉዳይ አጥና

Dhugaa kitaaba qulqulluu dhugaamatti hubachuuf, akkamittiin kitaaba qulqulluu hiikaa mataa
isaa akka ta’uuf eeyyamuu dandeenya?
Jalqabatti kitaaba qulqulluu kitaabolee qulqulluu kanneen biroo waliin walmadaalsisuuni.
Iyesuus kirsitoos fayyisaa ta’uu isaa agarsiisuuf mala kana fayyadameera; Musee fi raajota
kanneen biro irraa eegalee, waa’ee isaa kitaabolee barreeffaman hunda keessatti waan
barreeffame hiikeera. (Luqaas 24.27maal jedhaa)

kadhadhu. Haala Kanaan wanta kitaabni qulqulluun jedhu ykn waldaaleen biro dubbatanii fi
waaqayyo maal akka ta’e hubanna.
የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስን እውነት በትክክል ለመረዳት መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ የራሱ ተርጓሚ እንዲሆን መፍቀድ አለብን። እንዴት?
ቅዱሳት መጻሕፍትን ከቅዱሳት መጻሕፍት ጋር በማነፃፀር ነው። ኢየሱስ መሲሕ መሆኑን ለማሳየት ይህንን ዘዴ ተጠቅሟል፡-
“ከሙሴና ከነቢያት ሁሉ ጀምሮ ስለ እርሱ በመጻሕፍት ሁሉ የተጻፈውን ተረጐመላቸው። (ሉቃስ ወንጌል 24፡27 አንብቡ).
መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ በአንድ ርዕሰ ጉዳይ ላይ የሚናገረውን ሁሉ አንድ ላይ በማሰባሰብ ሚዛናዊ አመለካከት እናገኛለን።
የእግዚአብሔርን አመለካከት የበለጠ በትክክል ማሰላሰል እንችላለን። ለምሳሌ፣ የስኬት ጸሎት ሚስጥሮችን እንዴት አገኛቸው?
በመጀመሪያ፣ በነቢያት፣ በኢየሱስ እና በሐዋርያቱ የተናገሯቸውን መግለጫዎች እንዲሁም ከጸሎት ጋር የተያያዙ ተስፋዎችንና
የሰጡትን መሠረታዊ ሥርዓቶች ሰብስብ። ከዚያም መጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ራሱን እንዲገልጽ በጸሎት ተውት። በዚህ መንገድ፣ አንዳንድ
ሰው የሚያስቡትን ወይም አንዳንድ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የምትናገረውን ብቻ ሳይሆን አምላክ ምን ማለት እንደሆነ መረዳት
እንችላለን።
To really understand Bible truth, we must let the Bible be its own interpreter. How? By comparing
Scripture with Scripture. Jesus used this method to demonstrate that He was the Messiah: “And
beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things
concerning Himself” (Luke 24:27).
By putting together all that the Bible has to say on a certain subject, we gain a balanced perspective;
we can more accurately reflect on God’s point of view. For example, how do you find the secrets
of successful prayer? First, gather together all the statements made by the prophets, Jesus, and the
apostles, plus the prayer-related promises and principles they gave. Then prayerfully let the Bible
explain itself. In this way, we can come to understand what God means, and not just what some
person thinks or what some church asserts.

6. Kiristoosiif jiraachuufi human argachuuf jecha kitaaba qulqulluu dubbisi

Study the bible to receive power to live for Christ
ለክርስቶስ ለመኖር ኃይልን ለመቀበል መጽሐፍ ቅዱስን አጥና
Kitaabuma qulqulluu dubbisnee hubachuufuu human kiristoos nu barbaachisa. Kanaaf sagaleen
waaqayyoo (Ibiroota 4:12) keessatti akka jedhutti.

Dubbiin Waaqayyoo jiraataadha, human hojetus of keessaa qaba, billaa gara lamaan qarame
caalaa qara qaba, inni lubbuu fi hafuura, buusaa fi dhuka gargar baasa, yaadaa fi akeeka garaa
namaas qoree faraduudhaaf ni danda’a.

የእግዚአብሔር ቃል በዕብራውያን 4፡12 ስለታም ባለ ሁለት አፍ ሰይፍ ተገልጧል። በአንድ ገጽ ላይ ከቃላት በላይ ነው; በጣም
የማያቋርጥ ፈተናዎችን ለመዋጋት እርስዎን ለመርዳት እግዚአብሔር የሚጠቀምበት ሕያው መሣሪያ ነው።
The Word of God is described in Hebrews 4:12 as a sharp, double-edged sword. It’s more than
words on a page; it’s a living weapon that God uses to help you fight off the most persistent
temptations.

7. Waaqayyo sagalee isaa yeroo sitti dubbatu dhaggeefadhu

LISTEN AS GOD SPEAKS TO YOU THROUGH HIS WORD.

እግዚአብሔር በቃሉ ሲናግርህ አድምጥ

Namni tokko waa’ee mataduree tokkoo ykn barnoota bu’uuraa dhugaa kitaaba qulqulluu baruu
yoo barbaade, maal akka barsiisu hordofuu ykn fedhii qabaachuu qaba. (Yohaannis 7:17)

Namni fedha Waaqayyoo raawwachuu barbaade, barsiifni kun Waaqayyo biraa ta’uu isaa ykn of
keessaa dubbachuukoo ni dubbata.

አንድ ሰው ስለ አንድ ርዕሰ ጉዳይ ወይም መሠረተ ትምህርት የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስን እውነት ማወቅ ከፈለገ የሚያስተምረውን
ለመከተል ፈቃደኛ መሆን አለበት፡፡ (ዮሃንስ ወንጌል 7፡17 አንብቡ)

If a person is to know the Bible truth about a certain subject or doctrine, then he or she must be
willing to follow what it teaches. “If anyone wills to do His [God’s] will, he shall know concerning the
doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority” (John 7:17).
