Each packet contains 25 balloons and costs 85p. Does she have enough?
2 A TV rental shop buys TVs for $110 each.
The shop needs to make at least 10 per cent profit on each TV to cover its costs.
On average each TV is rented for 40 weeks at $3.50 per week.
Does the shop cover its costs?
3 The annual subscription fee to join a fishing club is $42. The treasurer of the club has collected
$1134 in fees. How many people have paid their subscription fee?
4 Mrs Woodhead saves $14 per week towards her bills. How much does she save in a year?
5 Mohamed saves $15 each week.
He wants to buy a dining set costing $860.
Will he have saved enough money after one year?

The carpet is sold from rolls which are 4 m wide.
This means that a person buying carpet has to buy pieces from the full width of the roll.
